I ended up casting my vote for Gary Johnson, in part to show the upper Republicans that I did have a voice, and since they obviously didn't want to hear it, they weren't getting it, either.
I also started running locally (and got elected locally), so that people like me could eventually outweigh people like them, from the bottom up. While I'm hardly a Trump supporter, I think that Republicans like me that got pissed off last time around are a large influence on his current anti-establishment success (and Bush's, etc lack thereof).
