A world record holding powerlifter is the only type of person I'd give a pass for being fat. World's strongest man (or woman) or a world record holder at bench, squat, or deadlift. Those things are important to people who devote their lives to strength training.

I thought this was a man until I read the comments. She's fucking disgusting, but she can squat more than I ever could in my 26 years of lifting.

She also probably weighs twice as much and looks to be equipped. Still ridiculously strong. At least you'll live longer.

Raw, Raw unfortunately. The no. 2 equipped squatter in my weight class cranked out a 630# last year at the Olympia.

Bull fucking shit. All the good parts about a sport, the improvement to quality of life, mobility, physical and mental health, are thrown out the fucking window purely for gluttuny and ignorance. There's no scientific evidence that past male 12% and female equivalent bf% there's significant improvement to strength and I'm being conservative.

Being in several fitness communities over years, I haven't seen a single one of these degenerate fucking pigs trying properly. They try once with a shitty plan, say they feel weak and go back to hogging the next day. The worst kind of pigs, the ones who clearly could put some effort into it, but go miles out of their way not to. If you wanna give them a pass for it, that means shit. It just makes your pass worth nothing.

Strength is a worthy goal on its own. Being the strongest at something is important. Being the strongest at something is one of the purest forms of sport. You say there's no evidence, but look at the strongman recordholders and the guys who have the bench press / squat / deadlift records. Mariusz is one of the ultra rare examples of a guy who did it at or under 12%.

I'll quit arguing the point. I hate fatties as much as anyone else here.

Even April Mathis? Pretty sure "she" is a man who stole all the ladies records.

I hadn't heard of her. She's obviously taking male hormones and has more of a man's body than a woman's body at this point. From the pictures I just looked up.

Why the hell are they so obsessed with these displays of athleticism? It's like it's part of their propaganda campaign or something.

Powerlifters HAVE to lift heavy because you can't tell they work out by looking. They HAVE to be able to say "I lift big number."

Normal fit or normal strong people broadcast this information from across the room. Powerlifters require actually telling you.

What? Do you not realize the overwhelming majority of powerlifters are not obese or even overweight? The sport has weight classes, FFS.

Not raw, but back in 09/10 Shannon Hartnett hit 272.5 @ a bw of 66kg...now that is impressive

Sioux-z Hartwing has an equipped squat of 182.5 at 52kg and she's 47. I love that woman! If I was 10" shorter I'd aspire to be that woman.

Wait, what? Is it just me or did her knee cap not even come CLOSE to the hip crease? At least from the video angle, there's a minimum of 2 inches of ROM missing.

I don't think so but with 6 inches of fat on her hips in every direction and that disgusting gut they probably couldn't tell and congratulated her instead of offending her -_-

It's not just you. I didn't think that was a successful rep either.

It's a 620? lb squat. And yet I'm not impressed. Like what's the point in holding a world record when you look like that? It's thighs fucking jiggle, how the fuck is that possible if you're squatting that much, you shouldn't jiggle anywhere if you're moving that much weight. This is a perfect example of why I have no respect for the SHW class of powerlifters.
