I respect your comment, but Google is too deeply entrenched to fail if you ask me. They work with the US Government with their robotics company and likely in others ways as well. Once you're tax subsidized, it's pretty hard to go bankrupt.
Even when you go bankrupt. (General Motors...)

They are pretty entrenched. I don't think this is an advantage. There is an ugly side to the government subsidized companies however: they don't innovate.
They play it safe so as not to jeopardize their free government money. In the old economy, this was ok, but in the global economy, this is a death sentence. Look at GM and GE. They are not known as innovators. Sure, their commercials claim they are, its a crock.
Toyota, honda, and now the korean auto companies swim circles around GM. GE has lost a lot of the american market, including military contracts, to saint gobain and siemans.
This is where things get interesting. Can a tech company survive when the government hampers its innovation?
