Relevant statement in the article :

A combination of debt, joblessness, globalisation, demographics and rising house prices is depressing the incomes and prospects of millions of young people across the developed world, resulting in unprecedented inequality between generations.

All of these problems have been created by the flawed and authoritarian policies of their respective governments

Rising house prices is a result of wealth inequality. The wealthy have more money than they know what to do with and they already built all of the factories they can so excess wealth goes into real estate, driving up house prices.

Wait, you mean the younger generation doesn't want to keep feeding the 1% pigs at the trough while working for slave wages and shackled with student loan debt for their whole lives?

What will the overlords do if the younger generation gives up all together? How will they shit in gold toilets???

Oh, the humanity!

And up until 10 years ago most of the generation didn't have a voting say in our government. Even now, the old breed doesn't want to listen to our legitimate complaints or our thoughts on a solution that benefits the economy, business and future generations. Why, because we've been labeled the lazy generation. The generation that was to enabled. It's easy to look down on us and say when I was your age blah blah blah. Well when you were my age if you wanted to fact check a political candidate you had to go through countless paper records. When you were my age the cost of living compared to the income you received from an entry level job was far better.

China decided to get rich instead of being equal, others followed, the west was more focused on being equal than being rich, the west got poor.

China produces more engineering graduates* than the US produces graduates, and a lot of those are humanities graduates. You don't get rich as a country by training people to be SJWs, and you don't get rich as an individual (with a few notable exceptions) by spending 4 years learning about how white people oppress everyone and need to exterminate themselves.

I won't read the article because the Guardian is a piece of trash, but I bet they didn't interview anyone without a humanities degree.

*India tried this too, but "More Than 80% Engineering Graduates In India Are ‘Unemployable’"

A lot of those Indian engineers are unemployable because the schools are corrupt, and the students simply bought their degrees with cash.
