Subway makes terrible food. You didn't miss anything.
[–] themanwithsauce 0 points 12 points 12 points (+12|-0) ago
I personally like their sandwiches, but to each his own.
[–] Mitchhhhhh 0 points 1 point 1 point (+1|-0) ago
It's alright albeit a bit overpriced, in Europe at least.
[–] Alabaster_Jones ago
I can't in good conscience give money to people who flavor turkey and call it ham. That's just a lie. Plus I have plenty of local options for sandwiches that are much better.

No gloves!?
[–] ObeseObituary 0 points 2 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago
Yes she does, it's mandatory. It stops infection and cross contamination at the very least.
[–] dude_srsly ago
as far as i can recall from my training as a "sandwich artist" years ago, you are not only supposed to wear gloves, you should actually wash your hands and change into a fresh pair of gloves for every single sandwich you prepare.
i understand not changing gloves between sandwiches for efficiency, but no gloves at all? that's not just gross, that's a fucking health risk. talk about cross-contamination...

It varies by different countries and regions/cities of the same country. You should check your local/federal laws. You could have a potential lawsuit at hand...

Subways are the easiest franchise to start. They're cheap to buy and not that much education and prep to know how to get it running
[–] journalistsarelazy 0 points 2 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago
I was curious.
There's 86 Subways in the Netherlands. 1,402 in the UK and only 23,750 in the US.
[–] CriticalMass 0 points 3 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago
I thought there would be more in the US, simply because I drive a lot and they seem to be literally everywhere. Especially at truck stops.
[–] Unsung_Heroes 0 points 1 point 1 point (+1|-0) ago
I read an article, think it was last year, claiming there were more subways than starbucks and mcdonalds combined in the continental US. To be fair the people I've talked to said it's really cheap to start a subway franchise compared to the other fastfood peddlers of beetus.
[–] journalistsarelazy 0 points 2 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago (edited ago)
That resource I posted says there's: 14,267 McDonalds (http://chartsbin.com/view/30904) and 11,962 Starbucks (http://chartsbin.com/view/30908) so a total of 26,229. But, yeah, subway at 23,750 is still a staggering number. Most I speak to seem to talk disparagingly about them, yet still go there regularly. I'd also heard its a cheap franchise but also a fairly straightforward one (in terms of the product line up).

They all probably eat there too and say how healthy they eat. I guarantee the shit they come up with is at least 1200-1400 calories per sandwich, plus whatever chips, cookies, and soda. Hell, if I get my veggie delite with cheese, that is about 700. I had one the other day only because I really needed extra calories.

I apologize on behalf of all of Canada. The massive ones are somewhat rarer here, but exist nonetheless
[–] PumpkinSpiceShitlady 0 points 11 points 11 points (+11|-0) ago
Canadian shitlady here, I apologize too. Though apologizing is what we do best :)
[–] Kobayashi_goes_poop 0 points 4 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago
Agree. You haven't been apologized to until you've had the full Canadian with the works.
