You're both right. Take care, use the resources that exist to stay safe, and don't be afraid to have fun. If preventative measures fail (which is rare due to their reliability, thank goodness for technology) there are many cures and treatments for those worst-case scenarios.
Seriously though whoever invented condoms deserves a prize.

Eh, I'm a bit of a prude - the same philosophy I have around not being fat also extends to promiscuity. TL:DR - Don't outsource personal responsibility and accountability in preventing unwanted pregnancy and spread of disease.

Oh well of course never outsource responsibility, not on anything imo. But for men and woman who like casual sex, the responsibility is preventative measures and are 99% reliable so as long as you are smart chances of unwanted pregnancy and STDs is slim to none.
It's is, of course, about being smart, or it won't be effective at all. So thank fuck for great sex-ed in schools in my country. People like sex, and people like food, so I think education people on how to prevent STDs and obesity alike are crucial. You can have a slice of cake, sure, but be smart about how much and how often or you'll become obese. You can have a one night stand, sure, but make sure you know how to use condoms and get screened often if it's a regular occurrence. Responsibility is important and it's no one's fault but your own if you crew it up in either scenario.
Sadly obesity wasn't as taught about in my school as sex ed, so many hammy classmates. It's tragic. I love that my parents taught me better.
