Disabled? USMC? Just go get some Motrin... /s
Seriously though, this pisses me off so much:
that these people didn’t even appreciate their bodies but they still got to have them without disability (at least at that time)
Ugh. You just want to scream to the heavens and shake anyone who acts like that.

There's the phrase I couldn't bring to mind!

Thank you for your service and I too can't fucking stand this fat acceptance movement, its equivalent would be the smoking to get lung cancer acceptance movement.

There's already too much sympathy for smokers sadly.. ugh.. but fat acceptance is just as bad, or even worse. Both are gross, unhealthy and do affect the people around them.

Now they're letting women in
??? What is the problem exactly?

My friend destroyed his knees in the marines and he got 22% disabled which sucks because his job is going up and down ladders and stairs all day. And a nice little check of $150 a month in disability. And he had to fight for that. They gave him shit because 90% of knee disabilities are from fats. He's like 150 lbs soaking wet.

I feel your pain, I served in the Kazakh Army ( Қазақстанның Қарулы күштері) for quite a few years and back in the late 90s the people getting off on disability were obviously injured, now it is just fat pigs demanding payment because they can't do simple exercises.

If HAES is seeping in to the Marine Corps then we are definitely going to hell in a hand basket. I know the navy and the army have already suffered a long time from this but damn me if now its come full circle. At the very least you can fatshame but once that goes we are truly screwed.
[–] FordGirl 1 point 20 points 21 points (+21|-1) ago
Damn. First, thank you for your service. Second, it sucks you had to go through all that for being actually disabled. I hope you're doing better now and getting what you deserve. It's angering that their bad choices are keeping people from getting what they need, just another example of their obesity affecting everyone else. Obese people have no place in the military, except for human shields and testing dummies for new weapons.

You don't need to thank me for my service and it did indeed suck to have to go through all that. I am permanently disabled so it isn't something that will ease up, it's just something I have to live with. I did fight to get all the shit I needed, so that's good.

Care to share the disability or how it happened? I'm curious as I plan on going in soon.

Don't forget target practice.
