Burner phones are cheap, I guess FBI and some people thing criminals use Android/Apple to communicate the crimes they do or will do. I still say America is going Nazi Germany.

Burner phones haven't worked ever since behavior modeling and branch association networks have been a thing.

burner phones do work, just not as effectively as the word implies.

the feds could probably find any low level criminal if there was motivation, but people without burners are much lower fruit

After reading various posts lately regarding the controversies of technology, I believe that the future looks timid. As the government continues to catch up with the rapidly growing technological innovations from the past years, troubles arises immensely. Ever since the internet formed, computer hobbyist have and continue to scream for an open and secure internet. But now that technology has reached substantial levels of artificial intelligence I can only hope that the government stops tampering with technology. The FBI’s backdoor installations on smartphones hints in a direction that we are heading into a degraded society without individualism. Privacy is essential for individualism as it is the only time when we have no spectators and are free to express our upmost person feelings and desires. We begin to notice a timeline with a lack of privacy from examples including the NSA to Net Neutrality that already melts individualism but the idea of the backdoor is the last straw. As /u/forgetmyname said, the backdoor will most likely result in “Clipper Chip” installations on phones and imagine what they will install when AI microchips become implemented into our brain. I know it seems far fetched by after looking at the VR conference by Facebook I can see what will become of this society if the government keeps this shit up. Facebook's VR Conference

What I predict

So, if I install a backdoor on someone else's phone I'm a terrorist. But the government can do whatever the hell it wants with impunity?

We seriously need to clean house in Washington.
