Original story: http://now8news.com/man-tries-to-trade-kidnapped-baby-for-15-big-macs-at-arkansas-mcdonalds/
Two other employees stepped into action and tackled the would be ‘Hamburglar.’ Unfortunately, the size of the man was too much for the employees to take down the kidnapper. That’s when eyewitnesses say a third employee, Todd Williams, clotheslined the man with a broom handle and took him down to the ground. “That was a big dude,” said Williams. “I grabbed the broom, swung at real real hard, and crack that punk in the neck. He fell and hit his head on the floor, knocked him clean out. My aim’s on fleet”
...
I would pay money to watch the security footage of that whale getting harpooned.

Careful the hams might take that as a challenge.

Ignoring the obvious moral objections one should have to this, I am really curious how the fat tried to rationalize this idea, thinking that it would work...
Why would a McDonald's employee, which are often teenage students, take a baby?
Did he contemplate trading the baby for 14 or 16 big macs, but decide that it was too little/too much?

Google says a Big Mac is $3.99.
$3.99 x 15 = $59.85
I guess he figured "they'll never give me more than $60 for the kid, but I'll try to get as close to that as I can!"

We should focus on the positive here, at least he didn't try to eat the baby. (I hope?)
