It's been a while since I posted in /v/ but this topic is right up my ally. Yes, I am extremely concerned about the regressive left and it's influence in our media, education system and Government body's. I would call myself a Libertarian above all else who is always open to debate but as one I'm alarmed at the way people's right to free speech and presentation of valid view points are being silenced because they don't fit in with our current version of political correctness. As a result I often don't comment on things because of the nature of the backlash and I feel very betrayed and disenchanted and under-represented by our policy makers. I think many people have left Reddit (especially /r/Australia) to come here to escape the abuse and harassment for not being a Green voter and the lack of moderator protection offered there because they were happy with silenced views and their political agenda being pushed. I do also see glaring examples of tolerated sexism and racism and bigotry in our society and from the very people who use the terms against anyone who does not agree with the politicly correct status quo. It also seems that in recent times it's got a lot worse and the example you gave from your Vice-Chancellor is very scary, he is an educator of future generations who is obviously a learned Man using The Hunting Ground which is a false sensationalist lie about a finding in a survey which questioned it'self because of it's lack of controls as something to take seriously and be sent to every student. He sounds like another Melissa Click.
Edit 1: FYI on why The Hunting Ground is not a Documentary but a Propaganda reel created by activists with false statistics. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5uTqR-PUf4Y
