That's a good idea. Mods that want to quit or give up a sub can transfer it to @youcanclaimthissub and only that user. Then it goes up for grabs normally in /v/subverserequest. I like this. It gives the mod a graceful way to give up their sub and the content doesn't get deleted. Upvoat for you sir!

Yes, and that way all the content stays, but the moderator can relieve himself of his duties

I think you're on to something.
I summon @atko! What do you think? How hard would it be to give the mods a "Quit this sub" button that automatically assigns level 1 mod duties of the sub to @youcanclaimthissub. Then other users can ask for it in /v/subverserequest normally. Obviously can't do it when there's more than one mod, but this could help out on your workload at subverserequest.
