That's debatable. The definition of cook (verb) is to prepare (food) by the use of heat, as by boiling, baking, or roasting. Whereas to cure (verb) is to prepare (meat, fish, etc.) for preservation by salting, drying, etc. Therefore cooking =/= curing

I don't know.... they still have some evidence that they did in fact cook some of their foods
