It was seen as a hidden gem because it was new and there was nothing out at the time.

Firewatch. They really had a lame ending and no replayability. Good thing I didn't buy it!

A few months ago I got a Fable itch I had to scratch. This time around I decided to do Fable; The Journey too. That is to say; I tried. The game had a fun premise and everything went great until I actually learned spells and the control system was beyond messed up. It's a real shame too because it was fun until, you know, the controls made it not fun anymore by making it unplayable.

Came here to say this - worst game I've dumped 100 hours into in a long time.

I had fun bouncing around in a jetpack, but the storyline was terrible. So many plot points were simply forced 'because reasons'. I really hope Obsidian gets a crack at the franchise again.

See now, what you're saying is that this game is bad, but you put 100 hours into it. As someone who thinks it actually is a really good game, that is way more fucking hours then I've played.

I'm with you on this one. It just felt like a really poor FPS. Dialogue wheel was a real let down and the base management was completely unnecessary. What you said about button mapping and menus is spot on.

Lego Marvel super heroes. The games have tanked since they included voice acting IMO. They lose a lot of their humor and just make tons of puns. The best way i've found is to play with no sound and mindlessly play while watching netflix.

I feel the way too, they should go back to being voiceless again.

I really wish they would. It is even worse in the Lord of the Rings one where they took clips from the movie and spliced them together to form new sentences. The audio levels were awful and in some cases I remember hearing rain the background on a sentence in a section with no rain.

I dunno if many people will agree with me, but "Mad Max Fury Road." It was crazy fun at first, but I think I stopped playing about halfway through, when I realized the upgrade system was pretty much like from the SNES Top Gear (linear upgrades made to seem like customization), and the quests were oddly reminiscent of the monotony of an MMO.

That about sums up every open world game these days. They come up with a few good mechanics and try to make them the entire game. Devs don't seem to understand that when you increase the scope of the world, you also need to increase its depth or it just feels flat.

That said, I don't think I was ripped off by Mad Max, but I definitely didn't feel like I had to see the ending either. I do turn it on just to hear chumbucket's raving sometimes. That guy cracks me up.

some of the quest were redundant in this game but for the most part I enjoyed it mainly the car combat.
