Matthew 6:9-13

9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Do not wear clothing woven of two kinds of material. Leviticus 19:19

Ye shall not round the corners of your heads. Leviticus 19:27

When men fight with one another, and the wife of the one draws near to rescue her husband from the hand of him who is beating him, and puts out her hand and seizes him by the private parts, then you shall cut off her hand. Deuteronomy 25:11-12

Pretty tough to choose. However, I'll give you several because I actually CANNOT choose: John 1:14: "The Word became flesh, and dwelt among us..." John 1:18: No man has seen God at any time; the only-begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, HE has explained Him. John 8:58: Truly, truly, I tell you, before Abraham came into existence, I AM ("saying this, he differentiates finite beginning from timeless existence..." appx. quote from BF Westcott, I think)

I have lots :-) My favorite passage is the end of Romans 8...but my favorite single verse is Hebrews 12:1:

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us..."

Ecclesiastes 3:22

"I have seen that nothing is better than that man should be happy in his activities, for that is his lot. For who will bring him to see what will occur after him?"

Hebrews 11:1-4

11 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. 2 This is what the ancients were commended for.

3 By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

4 By faith Abel brought God a better offering than Cain did. By faith he was commended as righteous, when God spoke well of his offerings. And by faith Abel still speaks, even though he is dead.

Philippians 2:3 is pretty much what have been the guiding principle of my life, even though I wouldn't call myself a believer:

"In humility value others above yourselves."
