Always had a lot of respect for the Coen brothers, and this just makes me like them even more.

You guys must be literally retarded if you want diversity in a roman themed movie.

Rome didnt have darkies. Egyptians and Punics weren't black.

It's a period piece about a movie being filmed in 50's Hollywood.

Whenever SJW's trot out the old war horse "Not as silly as John Wayne playing Genghis Khan" when ever the topic of a non white playing a historical/traditional white person. I always get a laugh when i think about how Genghis Khan had red hair and green eyes

It seems like the Coen Brothers care more about hiring the best person for the part, instead of lowering their standards or compromising quality of a movie just because of other peoples skewed view of diversity.

No government mandate here that requires them to pay someone who isn't the best candidate for a position.

Well in this instance it's a movie about old Hollywood, when there was even less people of color in films. Filling it with people of color would feel more forced than Grease Live.

when I look at the actual facts here—the data—since 2000 to today, that across various categories, the fact of the matter is that blacks, relative to their percentage of the population, have been over-represented in some sense, not under-represented.
