Eh, probably. I would advocate testing a mosquito eradication program before making far-reaching assumptions about the ecosystem. I doubt mosquitoes are a fundamental part of any ecosystem, especially with the amphibian populations in decline.
I don't have the source on hand, but one study popped up around here a few months ago. It's conclusion about eradicating mosquitoes was that only one species of small fish in the arctic would suffer the loss of it's primary food.
