I wish they'd just start strictly enforcing a no-spillover rule.
And offer complimentary corset-like devices to help keep fats from crossing the boundary. It would be hilarious to see fat people all bundled up like sausages for hours at a time.

Or an electric fence that fires a charge once every 5 seconds.

The last flight I was on I got lucky enough to have two other shitlords with me. I don't mean just thin people ether but legitimate shitlords. I sat down in the window seat and soon after an old lady sat down in the aisle seat. After the plane filled up to almost every seat being taken a fit guy took the seat between us and the old lady immediately went "Oh thank god I thought in of those smelly fat people was going to take the seat". The rest of the flight was filled with a mix of fat people stories and general outdoorsy topics. One of the best flights I'd ever been on.

My stepmother just retired this year at 49 after working for the airlines for 20 years. After she met my father, she didn't really need to work but kept the job because she loved to travel. She was a stewardess, and the stories she has... my god. I thought waitressing in college was bad, but atleast I could hide in the back from customers I hated.
There were a few times she had to tell people they had to get another seat, and it didn't go over very well. To nobody's surprise (well, here anyway), people would try to stuff themselves into a seat any which way possible to avoid paying extra. I also learned that a stewardess having to tell someone they're too fat to fit in a seat means multiple people fucked up their job, it's usually the people at the ticket/check in counter or at the gate that are supposed to do this.
I wonder how fucking dumb or delusional you have to be to think that nobody is going to notice that you are overflowing out of your seat. Do they not notice how fucking huge they are? Are they really that dumb?

Again, some of us are poor shitlords. I can never afford business class. I'm fine with the seats as is, they should just have to buy two

I think they should continue making shitlord seats but put like 5-6 inches in between so tall and broad shouldered people are ok

They should just weigh them, as they do luggage. Every passenger gets weighed and if you're over what would (in normal land) be classified as freight, then you pay extra.

Actually, there is an airline that does. Maybe it will turn out to be a trend setter.

Definitely will fly them next time I get the chance.

I've been hoping for weighing passengers + ALL luggage. I only bring a carry on and am tiny, it sucks I have to pay the same as an eatbeast with a stuffed roller bag, oversized purse, and bag of snacks (teehee!!).
