I hate outing myself as a lawyer, but I think it would be fine. I would say US only and every post should include a proposed Bill of Sale that specifies the make, model, caliber, redacted SN, etc., recites the state requirements for a private sale, and includes a notarized verification by the buyer and seller. A properly drafted and verified bill of sale goes a long way toward ensuring that a sale is legit. (By verified I mean sworn to by the buyer and seller, not that someone on voat would check the contents or applicable laws -- that would be on the buyer and seller.)

The sub would become a favorite place for BATF agents, et al, to look for illegal stuff. It would have to be very carefully user-patrolled.

Honestly, if I were Atko I wouldn't allow it. Too much possibility that the ATF is going to be out for you and try to get you like the Silk Road crap. One wrong person buys a gun through it and does something wrong and suddenly you are running some kind of criminal operation. And I say that as a supporter of the 2nd Amendment. Too much chance in the current environment.

State to state sales are legal so long as you use an FFL for the transfer. It would be no different than Gunbroker or any site that sells firearms online. Like JG or Grabagun, Bud's, etc...
