The vast majority of little girls aren't going to want "curvy" (aka fat barbie). Only fat moms are going to buy this thinking that they are helping when they are really hurting. Most girls dont try to starve themselves to an anorexic level (although an ED can develop in the process), they are frightened to death to end up looking like so many of the fatties like Tess. That has been my experience anyways.

All I'm going to say is that it's a doll ffs. The whole argument about keeping barbie thin was that she was a doll and it didn't matter what her shape was now people are bitching because there are various barbie shapes. It's a fucking doll, if people don't want certain shapes they won't buy them and they will fall out of the market.

The ones with other bodies don't look like Barbie, they look like other characters.

"Millennial parents" is the scariest term I have heard in a long time. If our parents raised us to be narcissists, imagine what our generation will do to the children... humanity is doomed.

Nah, it'll self correct. One day a very large group of children will look at their parents and say "Fucking really?" and it'll all be over. Think about the hippie sit-ins, except they'll have gym 'fit-ins'.

Wait, i thought the issue was that the dimensions of Barbie were unrealistic. But then why are they still the same height, for fatties?

They probably tried making it short and fat but it kept coming out looking like a dwarve.

Is Barbie's new career claiming benefits, watching TV all day long and getting knocked up with a giant side of Tumblr?

If they want to inspire children Barbie should be in gym wear, eating salads, reading classic literature, training to be an astronaut or something! Kids don't give a flying fuck anyway, only the ham moms care.

"I don't want -WHEEZE- my child to grow -GRUNT- up with an eating disorder! OM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM"

training to be an astronaut or something!

Barbie was an astronaut. Barbie has literally been everything, and she's not empowering enough.
