I use these and am lean and ripped. You can still then decide if you want to go to a gym, after you have build your body a little bit up with this.

Start off with lower weight and do more reps and make sure you always have good form. Good form, lighter weights, and more reps build muscle. Not heavy weights, shitty form and less reps, that's a good way to hurt yourself. Do legs every other day so your upper body can recover and vice versa. Finish each workout with a half an hour or more of cardio. Don't jump into drinking supplements right away, make sure you are getting enough nutrition from food, you can calculate your daily recommended calorie and protein intake by google searching it. Also if your taking creatine DRINK LOTS OF WATER, or use creatine monohydrate instead.
I would start by looking for some affordable gym memberships in your area. After you find one, look up basic lifting routines (I suggest starting strength). Get some multivitamins, whey protein (I mix muscle milk vanilla with orange juice) for your post workout shake, and of course the gym membership. Figure out proper forms for lifting to ensure you are being safe.
I have had a Planet Fitness membership for almost 6 years now, with minimal complaints. As much as people bash it (don't listen to them), for $20/MO I can use any location I want to as many times a month, and the hours are great. Being away for school currently, I'm between my town's gym as well as college town's gym, both with very comparable equipment (they are 3 hours apart, too!). Don't even worry about people judging, they're too busy working and worrying on themselves to even think about someone else the majority of the time. Plus, any lifting at a gym is more lifting than many others who are sitting at home watching Netflix.

Thanks mate, i have a couple of gyms close to home, just need to check them out, I will probably hit you up for more advice soon.
You should post this in v/fitness. If your self conscious about not being able to stack a ton of weights on the bar then use the machines. The machines restrict your movement and less of a chance to mess yourself up. Try to eat as much as possible and if your willing to take supplements try whey and creatine. Chicken, vegetables, eggs, and nuts are your friends.

Thanks, I didn't even think of v/fitness, the whey and creatine are good advice, the rest is already my staple diet as such. The gym seems a little exclusive, are fellow shitlords helpful when someone really is trying and taking it seriously?
