As a side note: How many users came in here guns-hot asserting that linking to a fucking wiki was "doxxing", as if there couldn't possibly be any better line drawn for that label?
His information was distributed around Voat without his permission or acknowledgement. That's doxxing.
Is the URL that was posted an hour back with @nadrewod's mugshots not doxxing because it's not hosted directly on Voat?
Literally any linked thing with any personal information on it could be considered "doxxing" by that stupid-fuck definition.
That's because it is doxxing. There's a difference between voluntarily sharing your Facebook profile compared to it being shared around Voat without your permission.

You're an alt-making, vote-manipulating, uneducated troll. Your opinion doesn't matter to anyone.
His information was distributed around Voat without his permission or acknowledgement.
So is Donald Trump's, or anyone that is linked to here. You're beyond stupid. Nobody cares about you.

The problem was that you were connecting that information to a voat account. That's why people were upset.
I don't really expect nor care if your subscribers are paragons of reason, but I do expect more from the moderators here. Editorializing a popular post to push a narrative and encourage downvotes is wrong.

Really? I was under the impression that it was a plethora of accounts spamming a business here.

First, sorry for saying "you." That's not fair.
And while you have a point, I'll say what I said in the original thread. I don't think the punishment for violating the user agreement should be doxxing. Perhaps this information could have been given to Atko and Puttitout privately.
Anyway, my main point is that obviously people are going to disagree about what should be done about any problem the community has. Someone's we aren't going to come to a resolution on a particular matter, but we should at least make an honest attempt. It's why I created /v/voatcongress, and I really do wish more people of varying opinions would populate the sub do we don't have to have these discussions elsewhere. If PV is going to be the executive branch of voat, maybe we need to develop checks and balances.
