Since the head is the control center and most essential part of the body, I'd have to say the body is the transplant. This monkey is now the head's monkey, not the body's monkey. Monkey.

Then we'd also need to figure out how to keep your head and brain from dying, since they're also alive like the rest of your body, and will decay and fail. Still easier than keeping the whole body going though, less moving parts.

They only hooked up the blood supply for the monkey head. Part of the reason it had to be euthanized was because the spinal cord wan't reconnected. That's kind of the most difficult part of the whole transplant and so they truly accomplished nothing. Doctors can already keep body parts alive by using arteries on healthy parts of your body.
