I'm from Southeast Michigan. Obama didn't start this, and pinning this in one person is dishonest. This is the general policy of the USA for the last 40 years.
Sorry, Trumpet isn't going to stop this. Neither is Bernie. As long as people keep voting strictly on the issues of, god, gays, guns, and abortion. None of those issues have fuck all to do with advancing the United States.
^Facts. This was started back in the Bush senior and Clinton days with NAFTA. Good luck rolling that back.

Yes, those issues are just disractions from the realissues

I wonder when the Mexicans will move back to escape the 300,000 Muslims brought in by Paul Ryan?

Wanna know something funny? My parents are from Latin America, I was born in Canada. For all intents and purposes, I Am Canadian™. Had a job at a car assembly plant; incredibly well paying, too (I'd moved up, quite a bit).
It shut down because the parent company decided to move operations to Mexico. Suffice it to say, my head hurts every time I think about it.

Another reason Trump is resonating
[–] TronaldDump ago
Which is funny because most that he's resonating with have probably never purchased one of his Made in Mexico suits.

Hah you truly know nothing about Trump, he's running on making it economically feasible to manufacture in the US
WALLACE: But this brings up the point, the conservative American Enterprise Institute says, look, Donald Trump, he owns a dozen hotels, properties, all over the world. Your Trump Collection clothing line, some of it is made in Mexico –
TRUMP: It's true.
WALLACE: -- and China.
TRUMP: That's true. I want it to be made here.
WALLACE: I know, but the point they say is you're doing just what Ford is, you're taking –
TRUMP: Sure.
WALLACE: -- advantage of a global trading market.
TRUMP: I never dispute that. I put it in my speeches. I say it -- the ties are made in China and different things. I don't want that. I just ordered 4,000 television sets. You know where they come from? South Korea. And yet, we defend South Korea for practically nothing. We have 28,000 soldiers. They're making a fortune.
I don't want to order them from South Korea. I don't think anybody makes television sets in the United States anymore. I don't want to order from South Korea. I want to order from here. I talk about it all the time. We don’t make anything anymore.
Now you look at Boeing. Boeing’s going over to China. They’re going to build a massive plant because China’s demanding it in order to order airplanes from Boeing. So Boeing now is going to China, building a massive plant. I don’t want that. I don’t want that.

Nothing new about this. It's been going on for 30 years or more.

Since unskilled Americans started demanding more than they're worth and pricing themselves out of the market.

I can next day air materials down to our mexico factory if there's ever an issue. Same day service if I pay enough. Local companies control the local workforce and do a damn good job when properly instructed. No reason not to move stuff just across the border for dramatic savings. Degree'd (mexican college) engineers for un-fucking-belivealbly-cheap rates.
(I'm not for Mexico mfg, just stating the facts)

Happens in every western country in the world, if an unskilled workforce is needed its usually cheaper to move to a poorer country.
