It's mostly soot. They can clean it up and make it look new.

Looks don't really matter as long as the structure is intact, and most of what I can see looks superficial (mostly soot and paint damage). It descends through its own exhaust when it comes back down, and it burns kerosene so that's presumably where the blackening comes from. Wouldn't be as pretty if it were to go up again, maybe they'll do a quick coat of paint in between launches.

i know you're maybe trolling, but the Falcon is unmanned. For the manned Space X - Dragon there is a pretty bad ass ABORT feature
