Ugh, I really hope revolution doesnt start with a bunch of religious nuts leading it. I see what they are fighting for and agree with some of it and can see that nobody has a complete picture of the situation and they could be wrong, but if this snow balls I dont want some one who is spouting off about god to be putting a new government in place.

Nahhh let them do the heavy work, then you take care of them.

No. It will not be easier, it would be a second revolution to remove religious nuts after they took over, and probably a failed one because there are far more religious than non. I feel like most folks dont have the will or strength to lead especially when they have to have an imaginary friend tell them how to live their lives. All it would take would be a "vision from god" or some bullshit and we would end up in a theocracy like the middle east.

I second that motion. And with that, what the founding father would really think. Most believed in deitism, or whatever, agnostic, if you will, and believed in church and state, for a reason... Ugh.

Which means if atheists want a voice, they'll have to move quickly to get involved.

deitism
I believe the religion you're looking for is deism, which allows that a god might have been necessary to set creation into motion, but remains passive and non-participating. In essence, it defers to the divine to solve the problem of "Who/what created the universe" and ignores everything superstitious posited by religion.

I hear ya, and agree. To bad they are the only ones with the balls to even try something like this.

George Carlin covered this speaking about the Scantity of Life but a bit of that applies all around.
