I had a friend who worked for a company like this. They were required to promote women and minorities. There was never anything in writing, mind you, so there was no paper trail. I told him to record very conversation and sue the company for reverse discrimination. He soon left because the company sucked..

I saw same when I worked at AT&T. Many of the white guys had worked there for nine and fifteen years. Poof. Gone

Was worse than a diversity ceiling, because they were fired for being white males. All were managers

Is your gibberish alcohol induced? There are three different sentences in your one statement.

What? There's just one. He misspelled a word and lost a comma.

"Tell as many white males as you know, so people leave and the company collapses."

I worked for a major tech company, and on a trip I learned that one of their new offices had a much-needed office space addition delayed again and again because their diversity quota wasn't good enough. Humorously, they actually had a ton of male and female Indian employees (and could promote hundreds from the India office at the drop of a hat), but apparently Indians aren't the right type of minorities. In order for them to build the addition they had to scrounge to get as many of the right type as possible, even though this meant not hiring the qualified engineers that were actually applying to the positions.

As icing on the cake, they were already one of the most diverse employers in the entire state, but because the state is much more homogeneous than California (where the headquarters are), they were being continually prevented from expanding the building literally because management didn't want to staff it with more white men. When I visited many of the engineers had to double up in their cubes--and of course I never got to meet all the engineers that they weren't allowed to hire. The reality is that white women and black men/women just don't apply to engineering positions. There's a pipeline supply problem/career rejection choice, depending on how you look at it.

I believe Homer Simpson summed it up for me. When he described Alcohol. Like white males, alcohol is the cause and the solution to all problems. Whitemales can be described accordingly. I'm proud to be white, proud to be part of the problem and proud to be part of the solution. Rodney King said it best " can't we all just get along"

Good to hear this. I am just starting to realize this in my own career. Generally, if you are a white male and want to advance, you really have to build your own success outside of the system. The diversity employees can basically just ride their way to the top, by staying in the system. And even moreso than males of minority race, women have the most power of all since they have the ability to eliminate men who stand in their way by waving their magic sexual-harassment wand. It definitely didn't used to be this way.

I didn't work for the government for long enough to get a very good idea, but I think the defense sector and government engineering and research jobs and so on are not as bad. You will still see it some, but I think for anything that relates to national security in the least, they tend to be pretty old school and can also get away with pretty much anything.

I'm not even white and I've had this happen to me.
