If Gods can become race players then race players should get to become gods in a similar way. I liked the Idea of a hero becoming a demigod and later becoming a god in it's own right, but such an option can still be available for players wanting to play SG all quest like.

I don't mind new players becoming gods to be honest, as long as they contribute. I would suggest maybe a time frame. A number of ages and posts to become a Demi god, and then a further number of ages and posts to become a god. That way new players can't just troll the sub after a few weeks. Perhaps the pantheon could vote on the creation of a new Demi god and their domain. Allow Demi gods only one domain. Then a number of Gods need to vote to make you a god. These are just a few ideas, I'd be interested to know what other people think.

Zille started the week off by stealing a planet, and placing it in the Deep, Tempest and Phyra helped. So there is now a mini binary system in the Deep, and a void. {...} then launched his invasion of the Deep. Zille countered doing this, and then setting Tymoro off to destroy all things {...}, which he did in his own particular style. She also helped {...} form the Ice brain. Tempest also managed to guilt her into giving the Deep back, which she kinda wrecked. To makeup for it, she helped Tempest to make Ikagoya. So she has something new to mess with, or steal. Zille made a new friend and sent a letter. Most importantly though, she took steps, to rid the world of a vicious little Rat named Mar'dy.

Phyra asked Tymoro to help him with a curse against {...}, from now on all Flora are drawing dice.
Phyra activated the Sentinels and made them build themselves. Unpleased that he still had to interfere he gave them an ugrade, they can now activate other units once they have finished building them. He also provided a bunch of details on the sentinels. Right now there are about 6000 sentinels swarming on the Dark Planet. The Dark Planet is still locked in the deep.
Uncertain what Tymoro was going to do with his Zeppeling of Gibberings headed to the Moon, Phyra attended the council of the forest to ask Godric to prevent Tymoro gaining acces to the cathedral Luna.
Tymoro was surprised at the defensive reaction and held a secret meeting with Godric and Phyra. Phyra was convinced Tymoro spoke the truth and would only use the Cathedral Luna to end the war of {...}. Godric was asked to delay the hiding of the Cathedral Luna until this Sabbat.
Phyra prevented the disbanding of the Naga and Lot'dy order. He also returned all freed Lot'dy to their shackles.
[Off-Topic] I still have a action that's waiting to be resolved - but the outcome hinges on @WulfCall's response, so please don't flair it until then.

Mar'dy Kist, a brand new mortal Lot'dy escaped from being a gladiator for the Naga. Mortally wounded he cried out the gods for help and Tempest healed him. Saen, sent by Pome also made temporary companions for him. Unknown to many (Secret), Pome also gave Mar'dy the Keemana Poison. Mar'dy returns to Dire Vents and leads a rebellion of Lot'dy against the Naga, besieging their fortress. Phyra breaks the will of the Lot'dy to restore order. The Lot'dy hand over Mar'dy to be killed but he escapes again due to the waves from the creation of the third moon. Washed ashore he sets out on land to new adventures. He is healed and blessed by Tempest and blessed with knowledge by Pome.

I read the back and forth replies. I don't know if it just my opinion or many people will hold my stance on this, but this isn't a "monopoly" game. Like we aren't playing to win with rules that prevent us from cheating. Its roleplay story-telling, or army building, or fuck-with-other-people-ing. I think the rule is "you don't try to win, you just play". The balance of gameplay is struck between mutual effort to make a good story.
As far as I can say the biggest boundary to starting to play is 1: Knowing what the hell is going on in the first place 2: Getting through the universe and starting. There a lot of content and a lot of things that help, like the Gaea ecosystem map. But even now I'm almost scared of trying to figure out what is going on with the moons and the Deep and whatnot.
Maybe someone can give their opinion on this, but I have an idea of writing in a few "starter" characters in case someone wants to join but just doesn't have the imagination to know where to start. Design an interesting character, give them a paragraph of explanation, choose a race thats relatively sheltered from the goings-on, and just let them adopt it from there.

I think you are entirely correct to be honest. This is a medium for story telling and collaboration. Not a game with a specific win criteria/scenario. There is so much going on that it would be impossible to police. I also don't think we need a mod back who wanted to ben @WulfCall for simply disagreeing with him. The lad went full reddit on poor wulfcall. A mod should be the last person to get emotional with players, or to lose their rag. So if I break a rule, my story gets cancelled and I get a week ban, in a story telling sub, no thanks.
As for new players, I do agree that the amount of information is daunting. All new players really need to do, is find a niche, and try to start telling a story within it. There isn't a need to read everything just to start. Usually something happens and then you read up on it. Hell players could even get together and go on quests if they wanted, the world is pretty open, and a lot can be written/fleshed out by new players. I think your idea could work really well..
