You mean like when cigarettes didn't cause cancer? Or how insecticides have nothing to do with the extinction of bees? Or like antibiotics in cattle not causing any health problems?
There's nothing inherently wrong with GMOs Golden Rice could be out there saving lives.
Unfortunately "roundup ready" just makes farmers dump more pesticide on the crops and some of that pesticides makes it into food. This is the threat. Not the GMO status itself.
Problem is that once you've genetically modified anything, the results don't immediately appear. You might have a full couple of generations before bad effects occurred. In other words, 100 years. By then, it's a bit too late.
