This i have been thinking as well. I'm glad someone started a thread about this as i hadn't thought about the crushing of their throat, but has always believe it was due to hormonal issues. There's a fat in an office i used to work in, and he has a voice so sqeaky people seriously believe it's his wife that picks up his phone (as if he'd ever find a woman).

The theory about the crushing of ones throat via pure fattening sort of explains the wheezing as well. Shout out to op for the observation!

They probably have a smaller lung capacity too, having so much visceral fat squashing their lungs out of shape.

So, umm, I worked in retail with a ham one time and ... let me set the scene for you. You know those dogs that have the pushed in faces... pugs, bulldogs kind of thing. Can you imagine how they sound when they breathe in through their nose sometimes? Like... they have a pillow put to their nose and they sound kind of like they are suffocating? That's how this ham sounded CONSTANTLY. I would get so pissed being around her .. like can't you just fucking breathe through your mouth for once or twice because you sound like a freaking dog that can't breathe.

I call it a "fat accent". Usually it makes the individual sound deeper because the fat is compressing their soft palate and neck (this is also why fats have so much trouble with sleep apnea. If you want to look at the difference, look at Chum Lee from Pawn Stars and how he sounds before he lost a ton of weight, and then how he sounds after.

Don't forget the forced high pitched creepy cartoon voice fat girls use. Do they think it makes them cute?

I always thought that raspy, breathy sound cam from the wind struggling through their compressed airways. That combined with the fact that they have to talk and breathe at the same time because they are so unfit that they can't hold their breath long enough to speak.

It's probably a few factors like neck fat crushing the windpipe, lungs struggling to expand under the crushing weight of the fat and shapeless tube boobs they're so proud of, the hormonal imbalance from the fat cells producing estrogen... and of course, the constant flow of food into their mouths will alter their ability to talk like a human.

That deep, husky voice. I just call it fat voice. Ever hear it on the phone or in a video narration, you just know it's a fat.
