IMO, no, heavy clubs don't help, they mess with your tempo. (I've tried everything).

Speed in the swing is created in the last 90* before impact, all speed up until this point is not important. In fact I think this is a big distance killer for most people: Trying to create speed too soon in the downswing.

Based on my knowledge of sports physiology, I'm pretty sure this would just screw up your neural pathways and ruin your swing. Even if it didn't, I highly doubt it would improve your game much at all. The product itself seems like another one of those gimmicks that seems plausible enough to most people's reasoning, but doesn't work out in real life. If you want to get stronger in an attempt to improve your distance you're better off just doing regular strength training and continuing to practice with a regular golf club, IMO.
