Of course. You're referring to the NSA hackbots. OP should hack into this mainframe and set up a proxy firewall to reroute their attacks.
Seriously though, if there's no server, there are a bunch of different services that provide hosting and easy tools to make a website look how you want it to quickly. I would suggest picking out something like that and pointing the domain to it.

Just the domain at this point. I'm using a simple Tumblr page it points to right now. I'm sure I can get a server up and running if I can get a nice design together.

I think the quickest way to go would be to sign up with a service like Wix or Squarespace (or one of their competitors, I'm not sure who is the best right now). They host websites and have tools that let you put together a solid design pretty quickly with MVC architecture already taken care of and support techs to help you out. You should be able to replace the domain they give you with the one you bought (I know you can on OpenShift but I wouldn't necessarily recommend going with them if you're not a programmer since they provide free hosting but you have to program your server yourself)

Well... Do you have a server or just the domain?

for the type of site they'll be making, a free github pages host will be perfect.
That's the least of his worries, I think.
