I remember that Bohner moment. This is a great video that shows you that most of these politicians are just in different arms of the same body. This was peak crony capitalism. I believe that history is trending towards the people now. We have the internet. Every day something is added to the accumulation of evidence against our corrupted leaders.
Please don't turn apathetic like I did when I watched this happen. Just keep showing people things like this. The past was theirs, the future is ours.

I will never be apathetic, then they win. Hope you'll join me @ /v/UnderReported

The same people (Saudi's, massive corporations, banks) are funding every politician and congressman. They don't need to work on their speeches, they have the entire American system already locked up. If a Ron Paul or Howard Dean comes along again they just ignore him or politically assassinate him over 100 TV+radio stations that they also own.
I wrote an article on this over at /v/mainstreammedia on how important Reddit was in breaking Saudi control over America.

That is an excellent idea for a verse. I was going to make one, only I would have called it corporatemedia. I see that your verse is brand new. There may still be time to change it to a more accurate name.
The language that is used by propagandists -- that many unwittingly adopt as standard terminology -- is one of the most important tools of persuasion. I would be glad to join you at a corporate media verse :D
If not, I'm your first subscriber anyway!

duh - who remembers the hit job on Howard Dean?
[–] flyawayhigh 0 points 1 point 1 point (+1|-0) ago (edited ago)
Howard Dean was perfectly clean and a model of Presidential electability. The corporate media single-handedly destroyed his chances with literally not-a-thing legitimate. It is imperative that we begin to understand this media power. The Howard Dean case is the premiere/textbook example.

the media did it at the behest of the Democrats, who Dean was making look bad and who had pre-ordained Kerry from the start. Rand Paul will be subject to similar machinations by the GOP this year if he emerges as a front-runner.

The future of the country is being decided by a shouting match. That sounds very formal and scientific.

Yeah, I was a bit appalled at that as well; I assume it was originally intended to expedite the process when there was a consensus but it's clearly being abused now. I had always considered being a delegate but I always suspected it would be a waste of time...

I had recently considered getting into the primaries as well - I hadn't gotten as far as looking up how that all worked and it looks as though I'm too late anyway. My thought process was that Hillary seems to have a pretty secure spot as the democratic candidate which I'm somewhat unhappy with but maybe I can help sway the republican party. If I'm honest, I don't know how this works but what I do know is that by the time we get to the general election we've got a choice between Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum and it's too late. At this point, I honestly don't care if a Dem or Rep wins because it's the same thing (I know I'm not the first to say this, sorry for ranting). I'm just going to vote for anything that isn't in one of those two parties, but I also want to get involved in changing the candidates those parties put out since that's closer to where the actual decisions are being made. I hate politics and I don't want to get involved in it but it's really hard to watch this and do nothing.

And yet the US brings "democracy" to the world. What a joke.
