I do not think it would help. Fat fuckers know no discipline, even if we dumb it down to beyond the lowest common denominator; they will moo "Muh food choices" and fuck it up.

Oh god. The tubblrs will just get a variation of this inked next to their 'riots not diets' tats.

Fuck the fats they'd just ignore it anyway. I'd like it so I don't accidentally consume a shitload of sugar.
I have cans of corn that I use for crockpot recipes...1 with no salt added and 1 with sea salt added (thought at store was "oh it's better without bc then I can control how much salt goes in")
The 1 with no salt added had more than double the sugar in it (7 grams at 3.5 servings vs. 3g I think.) Because of fats there is sugar in EVERYTHING in this fucking country.

I agree. I'm usually pretty good about checking labels when I 'm not either getting fresh food or something I buy consistenly, but occaisionally something sneaks up on me. Like apparently Tonic Water now has quite a bit of sugar. I found this out when I bought a bottle to drink while I was out on a run because the store was out of both lemon/lime and plain seltzer. I took one sip, realized it was too sweet, checked the label, and poured it out.

So. I finally found you. The person who buys up every goddamned 12 pack of lemon/lime seltzer at my local Kroger. I only need 2! Two!
All kidding aside, I nearly had to throw an elbow at an old lady who was loading up her cart as fast as she could. No other local store carries anything but the 32 oz bottles. Which go flat the instant you pick up the bottle.

I dont get it. I watched "that Sugar Film" and started going through my pantry to make sure. I mostly buy fresh vegetables but crockpots are the shit and opening cans is easy. Every label must be checked now and never trust what it says on the front. Bunch of fucking lies.

They have that in England, or at least, a couple of the major supermarkets do. For the most part it's fairly common sense what's good and what's not, but I've had a couple of surprises with items high in sugar. Not sure how well this would go down in the US since they seem to have sugar and salt in a lot more foods and the lobbying groups might not be happy with having this so clearly pointed out.

It's a voluntary thing in the UK, though the government keeps talking about making it compulsory. I think the fats would just deliberately choose all the foods with the red lights!
