A tip is a psyment. A payment means you are providing a service and have other legal responsibilities. This isnt a new law or anything

What makes it a "tip" vs a "gift"?
[–] CatNamedJava 1 point -1 points 0 points (+0|-1) ago
was the payment given in return of a service?

What a shock, a liberal state in the northeast that hates freedom.

With every donation to the (insert drivers name) gasoline fund, you get a free ride home.
So maybe not this idea, but there is probably a way to replace payment with donation.

The Free Staters are doing an awesome job of publicizing government hypocrisy.

Doesn't make much sense. You want to help people!!?? You had better be willing to pay the government their dues...
Thanks government.

Doing our best to emulate the Chinese strategy of dealing with helpful people.

If people tip you for being awesome... I still see no reason for it to be an issue. It's like instances where your friend helps you out and you give them a $5 for gas or get them something small as a token of appreciation.
Also, I suppose it just pisses me off that they would leave it up to shitty taxi services and other such things that are probably going to be overwhelmed, instead of letting people help other people. Government just doesn't need to get involved...
