All we know about the NX:
It will be as powerfull as a high end gaming pc.
It will be underpriced to compete.
It will work in colaboration with smart devices (controler).
It will allow for your system to act like a server, for other devices (credited).
The first games announced for it, are visually stunning games, developed in UE4.

snickers
As defined... by who? Nintendo? ... So it will be a toaster?

Seeing how the PS4 and Xbone are as powerful as a four year old mid-range PC, maybe.

That one was, by reports of system requirements, for developers. As in game dev's, that will be making the first games for the platform. So they might also be promoting it, however if they would make a console at the price of the other consoles at the current marketprice, you could make an high end system, and if you keep in account that they are going to underprice it. Which means it wouldn't be a bad product.
And with the smart phone features, I am quite looking forward to that. Imagine playing a game and a friend comes by, and he connects with his phone and joins you. Or you get like games that use your phone as a controller. So anyone in the living room can join in.

He also revealed that Nintendo would enter the "smart device gaming business and aim to generate revenue and profit from it"
Android/iOS Mario and Zelda confirmed. I hope they have some kind of controller support, else I won't give them the time of day.
planning to invest in new attractions at theme parks that will feature Nintendo characters
Nintendo is trying to be the Disney of video games now. Sigh.

Just to clarify these two points you raise.
The Android/iOS games are not mainline franchises to date. They are working with the company DeNA to create them, and one game has already been relesaed and another announced. They are more like, social gaming. I think the idea is to use mobile platforms as a way to showcase the Nintendo quality of software, to hopefully get you to integrate your new account with your (hopefully) console purchases.
The attraction was announced earlier, and it's a partnership with Universal. It will be a "theme park" within the existing theme park. Basically the Mushroom Kingdom attraction in an already existing theme park. Nintendo doesn't actually plan to build Nintendoland... yet.

I hope they can unJapan their existing things though.
Why do I have to tap 3 or 4 things to redeem a gift code thing?
Why can't I exit the eshop from any part? Why do I have to hit ok fifty times for everything in Streetpass? Yes, I know what happens when I redeem play coins, you don't have to tell me each time.
Why do I even have to open eshop to update games, why not auto update?
Why do notifications about themes pop up every other time I turn my 3ds on? I don't care about them at all.
If I get DLC for Smash for both my 3ds and WiiU, should auto download to the other, without me entering a code.
I know Japanese systems and games do that a lot, but I don't get why. FFXI had 3 sign in screens, so I guess it's a Japanese thing, but I don't get why they make things like that, and Nintendo should fix it.

Is that how they work on 3DS? The Wii U automatically updates them, but I'm not sure if I have any 3DS games that have been updated. Also, to exit the eSHop you just press the home button.
[–] ThisIsntMe123 ago
You're thinking WiiU, multiple times on the 3ds, I get the home with the "don't" symbol thing in eshop.

It has been suggested before, but all Nintendo really needs to do to make a huge surge in sales in put out a pokemon game for Wiii U & 3DS, then release ALL pokemon as Amiibos. That shit would sell.

Yeah, right. The previous 6 Mario Bros titles were basically copy/paste that added very little in terms of story, challenge, usability, and gameplay. Originality seems to scare away free money so i doubt these practices will change anytime soon.
[–] mall027 0 points 9 points 9 points (+9|-0) ago
Yeah I'm thinking they might re skin Mario Bros and make its so you can buy power ups to get through levels and such.

Man that would suck! i never knew i would hate gaming when everyone [because of mobile games] became a gamer. i feel like such a hipster... and i DESPISE hipsters.
[–] Ghetto_Shitlord 0 points 1 point 1 point (+1|-0) ago
I think the opposite, SM64, Sunshine, Galaxy, and 3D World are vastly different games in how they play. they'r all 3d platformers, they have the same characters, but how you go about things is totally different. They have their own "feel" to them.
[–] Brigbjones ago
When i said the last few titles i was speaking specifically about the game boy titles since this whole article stinks of mobile gaming. And yes 64, Sunshine, and Galaxy are completely different but that's three completely different consoles and game philosophies behind them; the more recent offerings have gotten samey.
