Why does everyone think they have a right to be offended all the time?

People have a right to be offended, it's just that being offended shouldn't, in itself, provide any additional rights.

There's nothing really wrong with being offended, the problem is when people use that to change things within the world. Change the content others can experience, for example.

I would say people are allowed to be offended but do not have a right to be offended. You are allowed to be a jerk, but that is not a right. You are allowed to not take a shower for a year, but that should not be defended in the Supreme Court as a right. In fact, once the things you are allowed to do impinge on other people's rights, you are then no longer allowed to do them.

So I see offense just like that. You are allowed to do it up to the point you are making other people's rights disappear. In this case the offense felt by all the SJWs is killing the right to free speech.

You have a point. Just because something isn't prohibited doesn't mean it's a right. It's a false dichotomy.
