Apparently, there have been studies that show that using silly words and phrases like "fiddlesticks", "man alive!", or "great scott!" can also reduce levels of frustration in both yourself and others around you. It's why I prefer to say that something "peeves" me when at work; keep the language light and you may find that you take yourself a little less seriously and those around you will take to your passive approach.

While I would prefer to curse while I talk politics with those in the dark, I try not to, particularly when I'm trying to convince them of something. Although so much of the fake shit we see on TV is so obviously fucking fake, it's god-damned near impossible to not get pissed off and tell that son of a bitch he needs to wake up.

Fuck.

Not me.

My dad uses a bunch of ned flanders -esque gibberish in the place of profanity. If he'd just out and swear it wouldn't irritate me half as much, but his purposeful avoidance of it gets under my skin.
