Rand Paul did it first

Then it's on Rand to bring it up on the floor also. I'm all for cooperation when it comes to getting the audit done.

Sanders already killed "audit the fed", it is difficult to think that he is actually being sincere this time around. I would love nothing more than to make monetary policy in the US/World transparent, but we'll have to see what happens and not take him at his word.

Actually, it was Ron Paul who did it first. Funny how we forget what happened fucking 5 years ago.

Bernie is trying not to get JFK'd before he can serve the American people.

That is the point. The fed already releases audited financial statements. So there is no point for another audit. They are just trying to take the independence away from the fed with this audit

Is that so oh? Why did he not fulfill his obligations to the audit bill from a few years back?

I would like an independant fed audit, but there's a more general (and fundamental problem) with this statment.

"We Need" is, imo the most appauling combination of words in the human language. You cannot know what I need unless you understand my goals. You cannot legitimately speak on my behalf without my consent. Bernie Sanders possesses neither one of these things.

I have good news for your first point. They go through a independent audit every year.

Supposing that's true, and in some sense it appears that it is (http://www.federalreserve.gov/faqs/about_12784.htm), then perhaps what I'd like is something more than an audit. This was besides the actual point I wanted to make. I brought up my interest in the audit only so people would not claim that I'm criticizing Sander's behavior because I disagree with the goal he's stated.

The federal Reserve is independently audit every year and releases to the public audit financial statements. This is just a naked power grab to put monetary policy under congross control.

There is no transparency.

There is a shit ton of transparency. There is thw biege book. There is audited financials. There are meeting minutes. The is press conferences. They operate out in the open. This is an attempt fo take the independence of the fed away.
