I will never upgrade to 10. I'm on 7 and it won't happen. I have installed Mint and all games I purchase are Linux compatible games. I may miss some older games, but I just cannot participate in this business model.

That's the se setup I have going on. Malware bytes should just start throwing up a notice every time a scan is done in windows 10 lol

Actually, older games have a higher likelihood of being successfully emulated or wrapped (WINE) in Linux. You also have access to an endless font of games if you include emulators and DOSBox. It's new games that you're going to miss out on.

I'm glad I turned off automatic updates.

What about the Backup and Restore option? I mean, I use Windows 10 because "Hey bro you know you love us so we'll give you some free spyware" notifications and the fact I do fuck all but gaming on this PC, but surely just rolling back to Windows 7 post-upgrade would get the updates/notifications to fuck off? For an example, it's like telling a customer that just returned a product to your store to buy the same thing again. They're just not going to. Is this possible, or does Microsoft still shill the spyware?

"We're sorry you rolled back. But we're rolling you forward tomorrow at 3am. Don't worry, we'll wake you and your PC for you. Bu-bye!"

I removed the Windows 10 update, I haven't seen anything about Windows 10 since.

My favorite bit about linux gaming is that damn nearly everything on GOG is 100% supported under wine - just download from the website, and launch with wine and you're in business.
