Fact-checking (noun): when a left-wing rag decides it wants to smear Republicans and protect Democrats some more, this time under a veneer of impartiality.

The day I trust liars to tell me who lies....

Re: Voat's two favorite candidates :
Donald J. Trump’s record on truth and accuracy is astonishingly poor. So far, we’ve fact-checked more than 70 Trump statements and rated fully three-quarters of them as Mostly False, False or “Pants on Fire” (we reserve this last designation for a claim that is not only inaccurate but also ridiculous). We haven’t checked the former neurosurgeon Ben Carson as often as Mr. Trump, but by the percentages Mr. Carson actually fares worse.
In the Democratic race, Senator Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton are evenly matched at 28 percent (based on 43 checks of Mr. Sanders and 140 checks of Mrs. Clinton).

How did they cherry pick?

The Fourth Estate has proven itself complicit in the lies wrought by the First, Second, and Third. They are not worthy or deserving of trust nor belief.

We need to fact check their fact checking. I'm pretty sure their pants are on fire.

Fact: New York Times lies.
Another fact: Politifact is anything but.
All candidates lie, stretch the truth and misspeak. When I saw Obama 3rd from the bottom of the list as "mostly true", I knew this whole thing was bullshit.
Republicans as top liars, Democrats as "mostly true" led by Hillary and Bernie. Big surprise from the lamestream media.

Yeah, after seeing this "'Pants on Fire' refers to the most egregious falsehoods." I knew that the entire article had to have been written by someone that was borderline retarded.
Then I looked her up http://www.americanpressinstitute.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/Holan-photo.jpg
yup. I was right. This same bitch did this http://www.forbes.com/sites/theapothecary/2013/12/27/in-2008-politifacts-2013-lie-of-the-year-that-you-could-keep-your-health-plan-under-obamacare-it-rated-true/

I get what you're saying - and I agree - but surely there's factual information in there? May not agree precisely with how it's presented but like many things, there's no black and white but rather shades of grey.
My takeaways are :
NYT agenda is loud and clear. They didn't make anything up of course, but they decided to choose this which portrays specifics (GOP) in negative light. This has been well known for a while, I lost trust in the publication overall after the Hillary exaltations. BUT I still do enjoy good writing and the good journalists, NYT really has one of the few budgets still existing today to pay decent money to talented journalists.
The GOP lies the most, not in an insulting way, but in a "big points minimal risk" way. Majority of GOP field hawks Reaganesque snake oil promises that make voters feel good, telling them that they "get it" and "we're gonna turn back the clock and restore America's golden years, the ones you remember growing up," even though this is simply not possible because of globalism.

If I cherry picked my statements on the 4 major candidates I could prove they all were as truthful as my mother, or, prove everything that came out of their mouth was a lie. Consider the source and the messenger.

What does Sanders lie about? I mean sure you can disagree with his policies and view of economics, but I haven't seen him coming close to the level of just making up stuff the way Trump does. Same with Hilary - she's full of crap but she's a lot more subtle about it most of the time. She lies by omission or she suddenly changes her stances in an extremely untrustworthy way, but she rarely just makes up some event that never happened like Trump (like the thousands celebrating 9/11 in New Jersey or the no-go areas for police in London).
I think it's a pretty fair analysis, given that Trump has pretty clearly chosen to use blatantly lying as a basic campaign strategy.

That education and healthcare and whatever else he's promising can be free. There is no such thing as free someone always has to foot the bill. But you have been conditioned to not believe this kind of dishonesty is called lying. Almost everything he says is a lie.
You realize that there were people celebrating in NJ after 9/11 as proven by video and newspaper articles and that there are no-go areas for police in London as proven by testimony from London police?
