It's always great to see anime do a lot with not much time! It's why I'm quite fond of my two favorite shorts, Tsumiki no Ie and Furiko. 12 and 3 minutes each, I highly recommend giving both a try. At worst, you wasted 15 minutes of your time. At best, you watched something you found outstanding.

Woops, looks like I messed up with my formatting then. It was mostly made for recommendations for people who had already likes 5 Centimeters Per Second. But thanks for the recs either way x) (Lain is in my top 5, have NHK on-holded and PTW Mushishi for when I feel like ~)

I really wanted to love this. The animation is beautiful and the poignancy very well expressed, though I just didn't find myself relating to the characters or their actions at all. I found the opinions on 5cm/s pretty polarized on AB, so I suppose I'm not the only one that couldn't get into this visual 'masterpiece' :X

Yeah, as I stated, not everyone is. I found it very relatable myself however, not through the characters emotions or even their actions, but their feelings. It's a pretty polarizing watch indeed, but from what I've seen more people are fond of it than not.
