Someone who used to live in MA and spent a lot of time in Worcester.

Housing in Worcester can be really cheap like under $500/month if you're living on min wage ($14k/yr) you can easily afford to live there with all the additional gov't assistance. It's not like NYC where housing costs $1500 for a studio.

Rich people face the same dilemma, except they don't have the option of going to school because they would still need to pay their mortgage or rent. So rich people have a "monolemma" and it's only the poor that have a dilemma. It must be awful for them, but Bernie will be along soon to ease their troubles.

Are we supposed to pretend this is a bad thing and that we are outraged over it?

The nerve of the government to require healthy individuals to work.

Telling the poor how to live? Got that backwards pal. The message is: no freeloaders allowed. We're tired of supporting your lazy ass.

When people mooch off taxpayers because they don't want to work to support themselves and the government is the bad guy for telling them to get jobs.
