@atko how would you feel if some one put a voat goat logo on a firearm?
[–] homosexuals_are_gay 4 points 5 points 9 points (+9|-4) ago
As long as the liberals who tried to convince us that "obama is practically pro-gun!!" and "he doesn't want your guns!!!" stay behind.
They are too dumb for their own good. Actually Let's keep anyone who wants to vote for a democrat out too.

Yeah, it's a big forum. Why would reddit jettison r/guns, anyway?
[–] pinkmagnet 0 points 15 points 15 points (+15|-0) ago
Because banning guns and disarming America has been a big part of the left/obamas agenda. Just like coontown and FPH, guns have no place in their little safe space.

As long as the shitty mods from /r/guns don't become mods here.

Just curious, what makes them shitty...?
It's a moderated sub. They don't allow memes. They don't allow politics outside of the politics thread. It makes for a smooth running sub with decent content but it rubs some people the wrong way. As a result r/guns is quite popular and /r/firearms is a relief valve for the people who dislike moderation. The irony is that r/guns has a mod team and actually kicked Zaptal47 off the team for being abusive to users. /r/firearms has one guy at the top who has had several of his own scandals including manipulating his own vote on adding other moderators or preserving the status quo.

Disdain for the members of the community, they think only what they want should be allowed and not what the community wants, bans for simply disagreeing with them, etc.

I don't frequent /r/guns enough to have a serious opinion about their moderation, but if their moderation team was garbage, I'd see a lot more user backlash on either /r/guns or a similar forum. It looks like the mods of /r/guns aren't very happy about what has happened, which is why you now see the censored image on the subreddit.
[–] Totenglocke 1 point 2 points 3 points (+3|-1) ago
It's been well known for years that /r/guns had the worst moderators of reddit, which is why thousands of users left and founded /r/firearms.

You'd know by the constant posts spewing hatred for the members here as well as constantly deleted threads.

Check out Forgotten Weapons on youtube. It's exactly what you're looking for.

That was r/firearms that was all memes and shitty pictures. Their HitlerMod is running /v/firearms last I checked.

Officially it's not, but in reality it became nothing but shitty Glock / AK pics.
