I'd like to point out that most companies that use plus sized models typically benefit from having larger people buy their products. Dove knows fat people have unhealthy skin and will buy a lot more skin care products. Plus sized clothing stores are pretty much a monopoly on designer tarps so they want fat people to be fatter. Not to mention companies like coca cola, and fast food companies fund "scientific" studies with skewed data to present fat as being normal and healthy.

It definitely benefits them.
Being overweight is caused by overconsuming. The most effective way to combat it is to eat less, which means consuming less. That's not good for business. So instead, everyone pushes exercise as the sole solution to our health problems. Companies like Coke push exercise because that helps them sell more sodas, and then companies like Bowflex push exercise because it helps them sell more treadclimbers.
No brand is ever going to encourage you to buy less of their product.

I think im going to start boycotting companies that use plus sized models as suggested above.

Fats are the ideal comsumer. Low impulse control

This is the reason when stores start using "plus size models" and bullshit like that, I just stop shopping there. I haven't gone back to MAC since this whole thing and I'm not planning on ever going back. I refuse to use Dove anything. Shit like this. Fuck people who encourage obesity.

I'd love to stop using Dove everything, but their soap is the only one that doesn't make my face all red and blotchy. The hams have me at their mercy. D:
[–] la_fupacabra ago
I know it's expensive, but have you looked at using higher end soaps for your face? I have rather sensitive skin, but I've had some luck with philosophy and perricone m.d. Fresh is also good, but I've only ever used their masks.

I use La Mer, Dior, Laura Mercier, & Givenchy. The French don't use fat models.

I guess I'm ahead of the game by not wearing makeup or using unnatural body-care products~~

If I ever used my twitter/fb I would be all over that shit. Maybe I'll reactivate either and do this.

Which is exactly what those fat fucking pieces of shit want. They WANT being a fucking ham to be socially acceptable at any cost. Fuck. This will just embolden them.
[–] Makingitworthit ago
That is exactly what the SJWs and food industry wants.
Low or no effort, and being rewarded for it.

So true. My pesky need for gainful employment is really cutting into my internet bullshitting time.

Even so, they'll still be fatting up the public sphere, the Internet, and making life for everyone else miserable. I'm tired of seeing fucking wall-to-wall hams when I head out shopping. I need this shit to just fucking stop.

This will just embolden them.
...and embiggen. ;)

Further scientific studies indicate that the sun may be hot... water has a tendency to be wet... & fatties smell like the shit they can't wipe.
[–] NikoMyshkin 0 points 14 points 14 points (+14|-0) ago
no guys and girls - this kind of study is utterly vital. in science the first step is always confirming what you suspect - otherwise you might be acting on false belief (it happens - just not in this case). this will hopefully be the start of a process of social awakening regarding this extremely important issue. as a society we should never, ever normalise or in any way promote or profit from encouraging people to reach weights outside the BMI. it should be illegal.
also, now there is real evidence that using models outside the BMI is directly harmful to health. when a fattie starts up with their usual HAES shit, we can now point them to this and tell them to shut their fat, stupid fucking mouth.
[–] sinjinsmythe 0 points 8 points 8 points (+8|-0) ago
Upon reading the study hamplanets...too late. They ate it. They ate the fucking study out of my hands.
