A problem occurred and I couldn't add self text. No special text here anyway. My idea fits into the post title above. Basically when you visit an inactive sub, meaning even mods aren't active there, there's a link off to the side that tells you that and lets you request ownership. It's a quick and easy way to tell if the sub is inactive, and if you're interested in keeping the sub topic alive, take ownership asap.

Its just as easy to check the last posted submission time, which anybody can do. I remember @Atko saying something about it once, I think maybe... I think the time limit is a month or so from last submitted post. after that you can make your claim. :)

peace...

Edit: sorry, I also think the "link to claim" button is efficient, although just seems... Well, think hypothetically of a new home you just inherited, but in the front yard is a sign reminding everybody that drives past. That if you don't keep the house clean, anybody can make a claim to be a better cleaner of your new house and effectively claiming ownership of your new home. to me it just seems a bit uncalled for. That's just me tho. peace...

Yes, 30 days I believe from the FAQ.

I recently saw what looked to be an inactive sub I might like to keep alive. But it took me a while to find /v/subverserequest finally finding it in the FAQ. By the time I found it I was more interested in posting this ideasforvoat than actually requesting ownership of that sub. So my idea is to make that all easier to see at a glance if a sub is inactive and give a link to submit a request to take ownership directly to /v/subverserequest.
