So THAT'S where they've been going wrong. They keep misplacing the decimal point and eating BMR x 12 instead of 1.2. Stupid annoying decimal points. The setting is outpatient. You can find a lot of studies showing that overweight people underestimate and under report calorie intake. It'd be so funny if the average wrong estimate they give was the same as the difference in bmr on this study, lol.

And the average height for women is 5'4". 1500 calories seems perfectly normal.
