my local supermarket once had buffalo steaks. it was a very dark meat, dark brown like liver. it tasted rather like beef, but was very dry. that couldve been me over-cooking, tho
ive had squirrel fried up in a pan. tasted very similar to chicken
ive had frog legs fried. the tast/texture was mostly like chicken, with a bit of fish blended in
fried alligator chunks also tasted like chicken, but with a bit more rubbery texture. they were cold when i ate them

I had a bbqed giant cockroach. The texture was consistent, not necessarily bad nor good. It tasted like something I've had before but I couldn't place it. Definitely not a bad flavor, but I wouldn't call it delicious.
I'm 40-60 on trying it again. I suppose eventually I shall, if only to try to pinpoint the flavor.

I live in South Korea and have tried MakChang, which is pig intestines grilled up on a bed of coals. The texture is interesting- crispy on the outside and chewy, but flavorful, on the inside. It's an experience for sure. They also offer this side dish which is cooked bug larvae. Very crisp and woody taste. Along with that, they offer stuffed squid. That one is hard to get past- thick frame and then stuffed with rice and other ingredients. Great with rice wine! I've also had Alligator back in Florida. It tasted like fried chicken but a little chewy, nothing weird but super delicious.

Alligator pizza left a nasty aftertaste. Not sure if it was the meat or the ingredients. Never again....

I had alligator tail once, and have been dying to have it again. It tasted like chicken, but slightly sweet, and better. I loved it!
