Oh, for fuck's sake.
Or better yet, what about people who's weight issues stem from an eating disorder, which itself is usually caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain, just like things like clinical depression and anxiety? You know, something that is completely out of their control?
It's not my fault, it's me atoms. I can't help forcing fat people to confront reality, it must be caused by a chemical imbalance in my brain.

The fatlogic in that thread is ridiculous. As is the scare about "eugenics." European Jews selectively breed to reduce incidence of Tay-Sachs and other genetic diseases, should we discard solid science just because of the Holocaust?

Just like people with genetic medical conditions having children. Seriously, if you have a history of breast cancer in your family, you shouldn't have children, to keep NHS costs down. Right?
I hate people like this so fucking much. If you're a fat fuck, you have NO RIGHT having children, PERIOD. There's no need to compare it to breast cancer or anything else, because it's not the fucking same.
And on that note, I think people should consider their family history before bringing life into this shit world, why is it such a stretch to imagine the right thing to do is to only have children if you can provide what they need? Fat fucks can't even manage their food intake, we all know how piss poor they do a job at everything beyond eating and playing the victim card.
Sorry I know I am ranty, but I get angry about how people act like it's some kind of human right to have children despite obvious reasons they should not.

Absolutely agree with you. A couple of types of cancer run in my family. Prostate and Breast so no kid of mine would be safe. Besides, if people with cancer genes keep breeding eventually the human race will reach a point where we are all born to get cancer. That's fucking awful. At least being a fat fuck is preventable.

Dear Reddit: why do you want people with a high predisposition to shit like that to pass that misery on to their offspring?

I just checked, and NHS costs due to obesity are £4.2 billion a year, whereas costs due to cancer services (not just breast cancer) are £5 billion a year. So it's ridiculous to conflate the two, even on a numerical basis. Obesity is so much easier to detect and prevent.

I actually do agree with the chemical imbalance part. It's the kind of imbalance that causes a fucking addiction.
