It's not in the spirit of free speech though. Obviously you can get someone fired for having different political views than you do. But that makes you a fucking cunt. Yes, yes it is. It gives you the RIGHT to say, whatever the fuck you want. What it doesn't do, is protect you from consequences, which is exactly the title of this post. That person was able to say what they wanted, no one stopped them from saying what they said. They had the right to speak out. However, the employer also has a right to not have his employees talk bad about his company, in a public setting. Even in a non-right to work state, you can be fired for posting shit on facebook.
