Borderlands Pre-Sequel impressed me a lot. I don't think it's as good as Borderlands 2 (and I didn't expect it to be) but they did a much better job with story and unique characters than I'd hoped they'd do. I wasn't expecting much of a story at all, but they wrote something compelling that I actually ended up enjoying more than Borderlands 2 in some ways.

Thanks! I just picked up the bundle for Civilization Beyond Earth and Starships. I have been wanting to buy it for a while and for $20 after tax it is a pretty good deal.

I would like to recommend Talos Principle to anyone who liked Portal.

I might grab MGSV because I've been busy with work and not having huge chunks of free time, although I imagine it being some enjoyable Christmas fare, but unsure of how my workload will pan out. I might have to grab it in the last day of it being on sale so I've got some time to think. Decisions, decisions.

This is just an intermediary one. The full Winter sale will be around Christmas time into New Year's.

While I don't want to be a negative Nellie, there doesn't seem to be anything that really stands out.
GTA V is discounted 40% and it's not bundled with the online currency, so you can actually take advantage of the refund policy now. Looks like Rockstar finally got the message of how much they pissed people off by doing that.
There doesn't seem be any of the big releases of the last year or two new in the 75% off category with the exception of Sniper Elite III (though the bundle with the season pass is only 66% off)
Long story short, it doesn't look like I'll be buying anything during this sale. I don't know if this is because the new format results in lower overall discounts or the games I want just haven't hit the price I want yet.

I glanced at the less than $10 section and noticed that Wolfenstein The New Order is only $9 - which is a pretty good deal. It's got a good story, the weapons are fun and the gameplay was good. I played through it twice which is more than I can say for most FPSs I've owned.
Edit: More stuff - Dying Light is $20, which I'd say is worth it. Not sure if there are better deals elsewhere (amazon?) but $20 is a good price for a really fun game that's only been out 10 months with a decent amount of replayability (it's got co-op). Don't worry about the DLC though. My understanding is that the DLC you pay for has been underwhelming at best and the core game is loads of fun without it anyway.

You're absolutely right, I took The New Order off of my wishlist for some reason, so I didn't see it.
Also the Skyrim Legendary Edition (and individual DLCs) are FINALLY 75% off.

I've been waiting since its release for a good sale. Finally...
